Stir Fried Beef with Oyster Sauce
Author: Mr. Go 8 oz. beef tenderloin
1 tblspn soy sauce
1 tspn rice wine
5 tblspn water
2 tspn corn starch
1 tblspn oil
6 slices green onion
6 slices ginger
1-1/2 tblspn oyster sauce
1/4 tspn sugar
1/4 tspn black pepper
1/4 tspn sesame oil
1. Remove any fat or tough membrane from beef. Cut across the grain into thin slices.
2. Mix with soy sauce, rice wine, water and corn starch. Let sit for 1 hour and add 1/2 tblspn oil and mix.
3. Heat 3 cups oil, deep fry meat slices over medium heat for 20 seconds until color changes, remove and drain.
4. Leave 2 tblspn oil on pan and reheat. Stir fry green onion and ginger until fragrant, then add beef slices, 1/2 tblspn rice wine, oyster sauce, sugar, black pepper, sesame oil, 1-1/2 tblspn water and 1 tspn corn starch.
5. Toss lightly to mix ingredients and pour onto serving plate.
6. Serves 6.
