Spring Rolls

SPRING ROLLS
Makes approx. 20
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups of cabbage
- 1/2 cup of carrot (juliene style)
- 1 cup of peeled shrimp, ham or pork
- 1 bag of spring roll shells
- 2 green onion
PROCEDURE
- Add cabbage, carrot, ham and green onion to a pan and mix
- Stir constantly for 5 minuites and remove from heat
- Let cool for 5 minuites
- Brush egg around the outer sides of the spring roll shell
- Put 3 tbsp of filling in the center of the shell and seal
the stuffing inside using the egg white
(fold the wrapper and tuck the sides in)
- Deep fry until golden brown
Seasoning (if using shrimp or pork)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp soya sauce
- 1 tsp cooking wine
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
PROCEDURE
- Mix ingredients together, adding the sesame oil last
- Add to pan with cabbage, carrot, shrimp and green onion
